AgentSync Manage is a managed package built on the Salesforce platform, leveraging many aspects of the current platform and pushing the edges of what is possible within the ecosystem. We treasure customer experience, stability, and scalability as first-order principles. We are focused on simplifying the insurance industry using the power of the Salesforce platform, striving to create thoughtful, delightful user interfaces and seamless workflows. The complexities of the Salesforce platform and the insurance space create unique challenges in the scalability, testing, and release processes for the Manage product, and we need a strong manager to bring creativity and engineering best practices to the teams.

As a Software Engineering Manager on the team, you will be responsible for the success of the team and the Manage product as a whole. You will own the architecture of the Salesforce ecosystem while delivering on our most challenging projects, partnering closely with product and business owners. You’ll be a thought partner and innovation driver, partnering with product and engineering to drive truly exceptional customer experiences as well as engineering and quality best practices. By being a mentor and strong coach, you will elevate the collective potential output of the team on a daily basis, and ensure we predictably deliver a high-quality, scalable product.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a small team of Salesforce engineers building a best-in-class product
  • Get hands on with coding, architecture and technical designs, targeting around 50% of your time for technical work
  • Partner with product to develop a deep understanding of the customer experience and lead the team in building products that delight customers
  • Provide technical leadership for the team, coaching engineers on architecture, quality and engineering best practices, as well as encouraging a strong customer-love mindset
  • Mentor team members to elevate their technical, communication and leadership skills
  • Collaboratively design, support and maintain best practices around security, scalability, quality, and operability principles
  • Collaborate closely and effectively cross-team to ensure features meet stakeholder expectations; proactively remove blockers for the team
  • Serve as a conduit for communication between your team and the rest of the organization on project progress and timelines; facilitate the resolution of roadblocks

Your experience:

  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce development (APEX, and Aura or LWC) and building scalable Salesforce architectures for large data volumes and/or complex data integrations
  • Experience managing a team of engineers or a desire to move into management with strong leadership experience in your past
  • Skilled in performance management, having difficult conversations, and coaching others in improving their skills
  • Significant experience creating integrations between Salesforce and both external and internal APIs
  • Structured and well-organized work cadence with comfort tackling complexity and ambiguity
  • Proactive and passionate about solving problems and delivering results in challenging situations
  • You enjoy working on a collaborative, learning-oriented team
  • A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Experience managing a team or working as an engineer on a product that is external customer-facing is a plus
  • Experience with other object-oriented programming languages is a plus
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II Certifications a plus
