Position Overview
Allen Control Systems is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager to help lead the execution of complex engineering programs. The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering leadership to forecast deliverables, track technical progress, manage risk, and support proposal development. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is essential, and a strong grasp of agile methodologies is preferred to keep pace with our startup-style iteration.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to plan, forecast, and track technical deliverables and program milestones
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, risk registers, and program documentation
• Support proposal estimation and planning, defining timelines, scope, and resource needs
• Apply Earned Value Management principles to monitor cost and schedule performance
• Drive agile workflows and cross-functional collaboration to maintain speed and alignment
• Provide consistent reporting on program status, risks, and execution metrics
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and program constraints

What You'll Need

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (technical background preferred)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years managing technical programs, ideally within defense, aerospace, or a government contracting environment
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices
• Experience operating in agile development environments
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to lead across disciplines and drive accountability
