As we grow, we’re looking for a VP of Sales to help us chart the next phase of growth for Arist.
The Role
As our first VP of Sales at Arist, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how organizations approach sales enablement and L&D. This role requires a strategic mindset, a consultative approach, a love for seeing others succeed, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles. You'll be instrumental in introducing our cutting-edge learning technology to forward-thinking organizations.
Location preference: New York, NY, Remote Accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Work with one of our co-founders to scale the sales function including team buildout, pipeline management and forecasting, territory responsibilities, and new industry sales strategies
- Help recruit, hire and onboard new sales reps
- Work with mainly enterprise reps to close high potential deals, eagerness to dig into deals and sell alongside reps
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate key accounts in sectors like Life Sciences and Manufacturing
- Evangelize Arist's innovative enablement platform, articulating its unique value proposition to C-level executives and decision-makers
- Help reps navigate challenging, multi-stakeholder sales processes within large enterprise organizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to tailor solutions to client needs and ensure successful implementations
- Forecast sales activities and revenue achievements
- Contribute to the evolution of our sales strategies and processes as we scale
Qualifications
- 15+ years of formal sales experience and 5+ years of experience in a manager, coach or leadership capacity for enterprise reps
- History of working with founders or CEO/CROs to scale a sales function
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a B2B SaaS environment as a seller and leading a team of sellers
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling as an IC in a startup or high-growth technology company
- Proven track record of successfully ramping reps
- Demonstrated success in selling "net new" products or services that require market education, or evangelical selling
- Proficiency in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Strong consultative selling skills with experience selling software using a consultation-first approach. Specifically: mapping existing priorities with F500 stakeholders, understanding workflows and ownership among their teams, and building, selling and implementing a strategic recommendation accordingly
- History of building strong relationships with C-level executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to complex sectors (Life Sciences, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Experience as an early sales hire/leader or first non-founder sales hire/leader at a startup
- Background selling to L&D, HR, or Commercial Buyers in complex sectors
