Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Operations Team Leader to join our finance team (maternity leave replacement).

This is an opportunity to be one of the early hires to the Candex Finance team and make a significant impact at a rapidly growing multinational fintech company.

This is a key role in delivering supreme support and service to our team members and customers. You will be a valuable resource throughout the invoicing and payment process and a crucial point of contact for our customers.

As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. If you have excellent interpersonal and communication expertise, strong writing and analytical skills and a desire to leverage your knowledge of fintech and payments; this opportunity is a perfect fit.

You will report to the Finance Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines for your internal team
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching
  • Set clear team goals and motivate team members
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Provide guidance to new customers to ensure they are on-boarded successfully
  • Work with customers to correct payment details provided or to obtain any missing information
  • Handle team and customer support related to the entire invoice and payment process.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in economics/finance/accounting is preferred
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent English language skills – written and verbal – a must
  • At least five years of experience in fintech or hi-tech industries, preferably in financial operations, purchasing operations, customer support, invoicing, or billing.
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to accommodate global working hours - Mon-Thurs 11am-8pm, Fri 10am-6pm
  • Impressive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with advanced Excel skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Tech savvy and the ability to pick up new technology quickly
