The Role

The Global Procurement Manager at Candex is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies on a global scale. This role involves managing vendor relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of software, hardware, and services necessary for the company's operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different time zones and cultures. This position reports into Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Global Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global procurement strategy that supports the company's expansion and operational goals, with a focus on IT and Cloud FinOps
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization across different regions.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with global vendors and service providers.
    • Assess vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage renewals to ensure favorable terms.
  • Sourcing and Purchasing:
    • Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition order to fulfillment.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Budget and Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage the global procurement budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
    • Provide regular financial reports and insights to executive leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, finance, and other departments to align procurement activities with business needs.
    • Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes and workflows globally.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with global supply chains, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks.
    • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a procurement position, with a strong emphasis on IT and Cloud FinOps technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing global procurement strategies.
  • Strong vendor management skills with a track record of negotiating favorable contracts and managing renewals.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and purchasing software licenses, IT infrastructure, and cloud services.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage budgets, with a focus on IT and cloud financial management.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and improve procurement processes globally.
