The Role:
The Implementation Tech Leads at Cedar, collaborating with cross-functional teams, partner with our clients to design, build, deliver, and scale new products and implementations. They gather and understand requirements, architect solutions, build, test, and deploy code.
Implementation Tech Leads develop technical strategy and roadmaps, considering client needs, client constraints, and Cedar's product strategy. They embody an entrepreneurial spirit to create MVPs to ensure our clients go live on time and with high quality. Their robust skills in technical design and architecture enable them to seize opportunities for scaling complex implementations across multiple healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of multiple high-impact client implementation projects for alpha and beta products.
- Conduct technical client discovery to develop technical project roadmaps, including integration strategy and new build requirements.
- Develop efficient, reliable, and maintainable full-stack code, with a focus on integrations with clients' electronic health record (EHR) data.
- Architect and build tools and frameworks that enable faster, sustainable, and scalable Cedar implementations.
- Review and debug code.
- Mentor and support the growth of fellow engineers.
- Work autonomously and creatively to navigate and overcome obstacles encountered.
- Support counterparts on the product and commercial teams in understanding and resolving client problems, formulating technical strategy, and enhancing the Cedar integrations framework.

What we look for in a candidate:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Full-stack focus with expertise in data integrations.
- Strong computer science fundamentals - a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in at least one major coding language.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving interactions between multiple systems and libraries.
- Ability to simplify explanations of sophisticated technical concepts.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- Experience influencing cross-functional decision-making across product and design teams.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and comfort with ambiguity.
- Passionate about Cedar’s mission of improving the healthcare financial experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in data integration within healthcare or related industries (e.g., finance or education).
- Proficiency in SQL and prior experience using BI tools such as Snowflake and Looker to gain deeper insights into data syncs.
- Deep knowledge of Python and Django.
Salary/Hourly Rate Range*: $195,000 - $230,000 Mid
