The Role

We're seeking an AI-native Senior Customer Marketing Manager to join our Growth team and transform our most successful customers into powerful advocates. In this role, you'll architect a modern advocacy program that goes beyond traditional case studies—leveraging AI obsessively to create user-generated content campaigns, optimize customer stories for LLM citations, and build automated systems to scale advocacy.
As our Senior Customer Marketing Manager you'll use AI as your force multiplier to orchestrate advocacy initiatives that span from white-glove enterprise ABM support to viral UGC campaigns where customers showcase "how they use ClickUp." You'll collaborate with teams across Content, Community, Demand Marketing, and Product Marketing to drive programs that turn customer success into measurable business growth.

What You'll Do

Create Compelling Customer Stories

  • Conduct in-depth customer interviews to uncover powerful transformation stories and quantifiable business outcomes
  • Collaborate with our creative and content teams to develop high-impact case studies, video testimonials, and success stories
  • Coordinate customer participation in webinars, conferences, user events, and ClickUp's annual customer conference
  • Maintain a comprehensive repository of advocacy assets organized by vertical, industry, company size, use case, and previous tools used to ensure precise targeting and relevance

Support & Scale Our Advocacy Program

  • Use AI tools to build and manage scalable workflows for outreach, content creation, and advocate engagement.
  • Conduct customer interviews to capture transformation stories, draft narratives, and collaborate with internal teams to publish case studies and testimonials
  • Maintain and update a central repository of advocacy assets organized by segment, use case, and product area for easy internal access.
  • Enrich CRM and internal tools with customer quotes, logos, and key story details to embed social proof into sales and marketing activities.
  • Work closely with Sales to deliver timely, relevant customer references and success stories that help accelerate deals.
  • Track and report advocacy impact — such as reference requests fulfilled, content usage, and engagement metrics — to continuously improve program efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Content, SEO, and Social teams to repurpose advocacy assets — case studies, testimonials, and quotes — across multiple marketing channels.
  • Experiment with automation and AI systems to streamline processes, improve advocate response rates, and scale participation.

Measure & Optimize Impact

  • Track advocacy program performance through metrics like pipeline influence, deal acceleration, and customer lifetime value
  • Analyze customer advocacy attribution to demonstrate program ROI and secure continued investment
  • Continuously optimize advocacy processes based on data insights and feedback from customers and internal teams

What You Bring

Experience & Expertise

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in customer marketing, content marketing, advocacy, or customer success roles, preferably within B2B SaaS. Skilled in executing an AI-native approach to program management and growth.
  • Proficient in using AI tools for content creation, program optimization, data analysis, and workflow automation. Experienced in building scalable systems for customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop automated, scalable advocacy systems that achieve measurable business results through systematic processes.
  • Experience managing relationships and programs at scale with enterprise and mid-market customers in fast-growing technology companies, utilizing AI tools.
  • In-depth understanding of B2B sales cycles and the execution of AI-enhanced customer advocacy to accelerate pipeline conversion through intelligent matching and optimization.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels, SEO best practices, and executing AI-optimized advocacy content to enhance search visibility and LLM citations.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Modern Advocacy Strategy: Deep understanding of how customer advocacy drives both traditional pipeline acceleration and digital-first customer-led growth through organic mentions, UGC, and optimized content for AI-powered search
  • Storytelling & Content Optimization: Strong narrative skills combined with technical knowledge of how to optimize customer stories for maximum visibility in LLM citations and AI-powered search results
  • Cross-Functional Marketing Orchestration: Proven ability to work seamlessly across Content, SEO, Social, Community, and Demand Marketing teams to amplify advocacy impact organization-wide
  • Platform & Technology Expertise: Experience with advocacy platforms (Zealot, Influitive) and sophisticated CRM enrichment strategies that embed social proof directly into sales conversations
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers at all levels, from end users creating UGC content to C-suite executives participating in enterprise advocacy programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advocacy platforms (Zealot, Influitive, Extole, or RO Innovation) and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Background in B2B marketing with experience in content creation, demand generation, or product marketing
  • Track record of working with technical audiences and understanding complex software solutions
  • Experience managing advocacy programs for productivity software, collaboration tools, or project management platforms
  • Experience with white-glove enterprise advocacy programs and supporting ABM initiatives
  • Public speaking or event management experience
