The role

As HR Manager, India, you will lead day-to-day HR operations and partner with leaders to execute people strategies that support growth. You'll serve as a trusted advisor across the employee lifecycle, ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, and help build an inclusive, high-engagement workplace.

What you'll do

• Partner with leaders on org design, workforce planning, and culture initiatives

• Support hiring and onboarding in partnership with Talent Acquisition; improve candidate and new-hire experience

• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations; advise managers and employees with fair, consistent practices

• Lead performance processes; coach managers on feedback, development, and performance improvement

• Ensure adherence to Indian labor laws and employment regulations; maintain required HR documentation and records

• Support compensation practices and partner on payroll and benefits administration (depending on structure/vendors)

• Improve HR workflows, tools, and policies; streamline processes using HR tech and AI where helpful
  

What we're looking for

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on HR professional who can partner with leaders, strengthen people practices, and support a growing organization in India.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent) preferred

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced or growing organization

• Prior HR leadership or people management experience is a plus
  

Functional Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance (e.g., Shops & Establishment Act, PF, ESI, POSH, Gratuity, etc.)

• Proven experience across employee relations, performance management, HR operations, and policy implementation

• Ability to advise managers on workplace matters with sound judgment and business alignment
  

Skills & Capabilities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize high-impact initiatives and thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment

• Experience leveraging HR technology, AI-enabled tools, and data-driven insights to improve processes and decision-making

• Proficiency with HR systems and tools (HRIS, ATS, reporting platforms)
