About the Role:

Our Mid-Market Account Executives own the strategic acquisition and ongoing growth and success of our mid-market accounts. They will manage, grow, and drive continuous growth and improvement for a portfolio of customers. As a mid-market account executive, you will have the ability to create your own path. The ideal candidate is both highly operational and entrepreneurial, obsessed with driving customer success, motivated by building and shaping the future of transportation, and a proven leader in driving customer growth.

What you’ll do when you get here:

  • Prospect with a "hunter" mentality via phone, internet, fieldwork, referrals, and industry networking

  • Independently identify and generate new sales opportunities

  • Contact and conduct initial discovery with customers via phone and email

  • Facilitate face-to-face meetings, present proposals and solutions, close business on the phone, in Google Meet, or in person

  • Collaborate internally with the team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans

  • Establish credit terms with clients in coordination with company goals and directives

  • Manage individual sales funnel information regarding all prospective customers in the required format

  • Sell CT Exchanges’ core suite of fright services - Full Truck, LTL, Final Mile, and Drayage

  • Review weekly/monthly sales activities and prospective customers with Management

  • Engaging in self-development & training opportunities, both internal & external

  • Reports to Head of the Brokerage - CT Exchange

What you need to have:

  • 5+ year sales experience in the Transportation Brokerage Industry

  • A phenomenally strong communicator

  • Engaging and compelling presentation skills

  • A positive and open-minded attitude

  • An ability to operate within the gray and find creative or out-of-the-box solutions when faced with ambiguity

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the way customers think about their business

  • RFP or contract experience

  • Ability to travel for client meetings and engagements (less than 20%)
