Dray Alliance is hiring a Operations Analyst to support the Operations and Pricing functions. This is a fully remote role that will provide a wide array of responsibilities with access to experienced mentors to help you thrive, including opportunities for growth within the role. We are seeking someone who is intensely curious, eager to build things, and hungry to grow and learn quickly.

The ideal candidate will have a background in operational or financial analysis and be able to create clear insights from complex problems and datasets. This role will be part of a small and agile team that will have the opportunity to make a significant impact across the organization.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Strategic Analysis
    • Create and administer reporting that illuminates operational performance (Answering the question: “How are we doing?”)
    • Create business recommendations that result in improved performance or profitability and are informed by data-driven analysis (“How can we get better?”)
    • Forecast near-term volume and capacity (“What do we need to be ready for?”)
    • Partner with internal stakeholders on cross-functional projects (“Who else can I learn with?”)
    • Support Operations team by completing ad-hoc analyses (“How else can I help?”)
  • Support Pricing
    • Monitor customer and supplier pricing, make recommendations for rates that improve margin and promote business health
    • Implement and maintain custom and contract rates
    • Build analytic tools to assess performance of established pricing

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • 2 years experience in operational analysis or data analysis roles
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Proficiency with SQL or other programming language
    • A natural curiosity that inspires you to ask great questions
    • A self-starter who can be flexible and take on whatever task is necessary

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a program that emphasizes applied mathematics such as: Finance, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Statistics, etc.
    • Experience in logistics, transportation, or other high volume businesses
    • Experience in creating dashboards in Tableau or Power BI

Compensation:

The base salary range for the full-time position is $70,000 - $90,000 + benefits. Our salary bands are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations. Individual pay will be determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location. Please note that the compensation details in the posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include benefits.
