Dune Security is seeking a talented Sales Engineer with a cybersecurity background to support the sales process, from pre-sales technical support to guiding customers through successful product implementations. You will be responsible for managing API integrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth customer deployments. This role requires a blend of deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, as you will be collaborating with both customers and internal teams. Your insights and feedback will be essential in shaping the product roadmap, ensuring Dune Security continues to meet the needs of its customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Pre-Sales Technical Support: Assist the sales team with technical demos, Proof of Values (POVs), and detailed discussions with prospects to demonstrate the value of Dune Security’s cybersecurity solutions.
- Client Onboarding and Implementation: Lead the onboarding process by configuring email security for platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, ensuring smooth phishing simulations and security training tailored to each client’s needs.
- API Integration and Customization: Implement and troubleshoot API integrations with identity and access management (IAM) platforms like Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring seamless interoperability with client systems.
- Networking and Mail Flow Management: Configure and manage email routing protocols, including SMTP and Receive Connectors, to avoid filtering issues, and ensure secure mail flow.
- Email Security Configuration: Configure Secure Email Gateway (SEG) systems (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast), and manage DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to ensure reliable email deliverability and security.
- Customer Enablement and Training: Deliver platform training to clients, focusing on email filtering, whitelisting, and phishing simulation best practices to strengthen their security posture.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support, resolve complex customer issues, and collaborate with the product development team to address bugs and incorporate customer feedback into product enhancements.
- Data Integration and Automation: Design and implement solutions that integrate Dune Security’s platform with third-party tools and automate workflows using APIs, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Customer Advocacy and Feedback: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, gathering feedback to help prioritize product features and improve the overall user experience.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a technical role, with expertise in cybersecurity, email security, API integrations, and managing secure mail flow. Experience with endpoint security tools such as SIEM and EDR is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Secure Email Gateway systems, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC protocols. Strong knowledge of networking and email routing configurations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated ability to understand customer challenges, provide tailored solutions, and drive product adoption through training and support.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at identifying and troubleshooting technical issues, thinking critically to deliver solutions quickly and efficiently.
