Role Overview
Dune Security is seeking a highly versatile Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO and leadership team during a critical stage of growth. This role combines strategic thought partnership with hands-on operational leadership, ensuring the company executes at a high level while staying aligned on long-term priorities. The Chief of Staff will drive high-impact projects across strategy, finance, and operations while also shaping organizational processes, culture, and team effectiveness. This is a unique opportunity to be both a strategic advisor and an operational catalyst in a fast-growing company from Series A and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Alignment & CEO Leverage
- Serve as trusted partner to the CEO, anticipating needs and priorities.
- Keep leadership focused on fundraising, partnerships, and key customer relationships.
- Align Product, Revenue, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Ops around OKRs.
- Support decisions with financial modeling, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Prepare board materials, investor updates, and CEO communications.
- Track follow-ups and ensure accountability with board, investors, and advisors.
2. Company Operations & Execution
- Manage operating cadence: exec meetings, quarterly planning, and all-hands.
- Run leadership offsites with outcome-driven agendas.
- Build dashboards/reporting for key SaaS & financial metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, pipeline, burn, runway).
- Close operational gaps across teams (feedback loops, reporting, handoffs).
- Establish scalable, lightweight processes.
- Lead cross-functional projects without clear departmental owners.
- Track company-wide OKRs and progress toward goals.
3. Talent, Leadership & Culture
- Partner with CEO/People team on senior hiring and key roles.
- Design onboarding programs for fast integration.
- Reinforce values and culture via communications and events.
- Support leadership growth from “player” → “coach.”
- Lead internal comms for transparency and alignment.
- Plan offsites, town halls, and employee experience initiatives.
4. Revenue, GTM & Business Enablement
- Partner with GTM leaders on forecasting, pipeline, and sales reviews.
- Unblock sales processes (procurement, contracts).
- Drive segmentation, pricing, and packaging strategies.
- Conduct revenue, market, and competitive analysis.
- Ensure Marketing/CS feedback loops inform Product.
- Lead projects to improve customer experience and accelerate deals.
5. Product & Market Intelligence
- Gather customer insights to guide roadmap.
- Analyze competitors and industry trends.
- Partner with Product on experiments, metrics, and feature prioritization.
- Report on adoption, product performance, and satisfaction.
6. Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support modeling, diligence, and narrative for future rounds.
- Prepare investor updates and fundraising decks.
- Track fundraising pipeline and prep CEO for meetings.
- Manage follow-ups and reporting with board/investors.
7. External Representation & Partnerships
- Represent CEO with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Join key calls/negotiations to reinforce credibility.
- Conduct diligence on partnerships, acquisitions, or investments.
- Build ecosystem relationships to grow visibility.
8. Knowledge Management & Decision Support
- Capture/document decisions and playbooks for scale.
- Ensure knowledge is accessible across teams.
- Build frameworks to improve executive decision-making.
9. Adaptability & Special Projects
- Lead high-priority projects outside traditional functions.
- Shift focus between strategy, operations, and external initiatives.
- Act as “internal quarterback” when CEO is externally focused.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or strategy/operations roles in high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects end-to-end, balancing strategic analysis with tactical execution.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in SaaS metrics, business modeling, and investor materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
- Track record of working with senior executives and cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
Preferred
- Prior Chief of Staff or early-stage startup experience.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology industries.
- Experience scaling processes, systems, and culture in a high-growth environment.

- Location: NYC. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to the New York area, with regular presence in our TriBeCa headquarters.
