About the Role:

Entera is currently seeking a talented HR Generalist and Culture Builder to join our People Strategies team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring seamless onboarding experiences, cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and managing essential HR reporting and tasks. As the sole People team representative in our Houston office, you'll also champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, further enriching our dynamic work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Culture Building and Community Engagement: Take the lead in fostering a vibrant and inclusive work culture that promotes collaboration, respect, and employee engagement. Organize and facilitate team-building activities, events, and initiatives to enhance employee morale and cohesion.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Prepare regular HR-related reports and dashboards for management to provide insights into key HR metrics, such as turnover, retention, and employee satisfaction. Utilize data-driven approaches to make informed decisions that positively impact the workforce.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate and facilitate the seamless onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees (including unemployment). Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • HRIS System Management: Assist in the management and maintenance of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring that employee data is accurate, confidential, and up-to-date. Provide support and training to employees and managers on using the HRIS effectively.
  • People Team Representative: Be the face of the People Team in the Houston office, acting as a point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Advocate for employees' needs and ensure their voices are heard.
  • HR Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations to ensure the company's HR practices remain compliant. Implement necessary changes to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with addressing and resolving employee relations matters, including conflicts and performance issues, with a focus on maintaining a positive and harmonious work environment.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Lead efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement initiatives that foster a diverse and equitable workplace.

You Should Have:

  • 3+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a Generalist capacity.
  • Ability to work onsite in Entera’s Houston office (Memorial City area) 4 to 5 days per week; this is NOT a remote position.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Experience processing unemployment claims.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics.
  • Organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Enthusiasm about promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Google Suite, Google Sheets/Excel experience is critical.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred but not required).
  • Benefits experience a plus.
