Learning & Development Specialist

As the first Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the foundation of our Learning and Development function. Your primary focus will be on creating a comprehensive manager curriculum, revamping our onboarding program, and developing a robust L&D framework for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a comprehensive curriculum tailored for managers at all levels, encompassing leadership skills, performance management, conflict resolution, and more.
  • Lead the overhaul of our onboarding program to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new hires, incorporating interactive content and practical learning activities.
  • Generate engaging and impactful learning materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, guides, and multimedia resources.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and webinars, ensuring that participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles.
  • Handle all logistics related to training and development initiatives, including scheduling sessions, coordinating resources, and tracking participant progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify specific learning needs and skill gaps, tailoring programs to address these areas.
  • Implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with HR and leadership to establish the overall L&D strategy and framework for the organization, aligning it with business goals.
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of learning initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management; Master’s degree or relevant certifications in L&D is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Learning and Development roles, with a proven track record of creating content, building curricula, and facilitating training programs.
  • Experience building, establishing and leading L&D in a startup environment (technology startup experience preferred).
  • Extra credit for having experience in developing and conducting training in a remote setting.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various teams including technical product and engineering teams
