We work on turning radical new ideas in the fraud detection space into reality. Our products are developer-focused and our clients range from solo developers to publicly traded companies. We are a globally dispersed, 100% remote company with a strong open-source focus. Our flagship open-source project is FingerprintJS (20K stars on GitHub).

We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (previously invested in Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb ), Nexus Venture Partners (previously invested in Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures (previously invested in Redis, Rollbar & Gradle).

Position Summary: We are on the hunt for a visionary Director of Product Marketing to lead our product marketing initiatives. This strategic role involves spearheading the marketing of our evolving product suite, steering our product marketing team, and forging robust cross-functional alliances to secure product triumph. Your expertise in melding market insights with innovative strategies will be pivotal in propelling our products to the forefront of the market. Utilizing your domain knowledge, you will work with our GTM team to insure smooth launches and understanding of our product to customers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Craft and refine compelling product narratives that strike a chord with our target audience, ensuring consistency and impact across all marketing and sales communications.
  • Go-to-Market Mastery: Steer the conception and execution of go-to-market strategies, orchestrating seamless product launches and updates in collaboration with product, sales, and marketing cohorts.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive market and competitor analysis to uncover trends, customer needs, and opportunities, translating these insights into actionable, growth-driving strategies.
  • Sales Empowerment: Equip sales teams with essential tools, knowledge, and materials, fostering an environment of effective product advocacy and feedback loops.
  • Customer Advocacy: Develop and implement customer engagement initiatives to boost product uptake, satisfaction, and loyalty, integrating customer feedback into product and marketing refinements.
  • Product Launch Excellence: Architect and orchestrate impactful product launches, ensuring cohesive messaging, positioning, pricing, and promotion tactics, and calibrating strategies based on launch outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the vital link between product innovation and market-facing teams, ensuring alignment and unified efforts towards shared objectives.
  • Data-Driven Insight: Establish and monitor key product marketing metrics, leveraging data to inform and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Team Catalyst: Build, mentor, and lead a stellar product marketing team, nurturing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and peak performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in product marketing, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Domain knowledge in fraud, security/identity/access management etc. required
  • Deep knowledge in marketing to technical leaders
  • Demonstrated ability in driving product success in competitive landscapes.
  • Stellar communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Acute analytical acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Expertise in market research, segmentation, and competitive positioning.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a high-velocity environment.

Compensation Range

160k - 250k For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Due to regulatory and security reasons, there’s a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas. Fingerprint teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location.
