As a Product Analyst, your main goal is to help product management, engineering, and others understand how users engage with our products by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to improve product performance and inform design decisions. You’ll own analysis at every phase, from product design to delivery and across its lifecycle, and a feedback loop for further changes and new initiatives.
A successful candidate will use data analyses to assess current processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and end-to-end solutions that can be developed rapidly and maintained easily. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Product Analysis: Drive & own product analysis from designing analytical specifications through product development and delivery. You'll review, consult, and provide necessary feedback for new feature development or proposed product changes. This work encompasses assistance with Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and consulting Product Managers, Engineers and Designers with the analytical requirements that the Product Analyst puts together. To excel at it, you must learn how the product works today and how the data is captured, have a good understanding of physical data model design related to subscription data model, principals of data quality, and know Amplitude Data Governances practices regarding tracking plan.
- Self-Serve Dashboards: Enable self-serve dashboards to understand ongoing product usage better so that reoccurring questions can be answered with dedicated dashboards created in Preset and/or Sigma Computing using big data
- Ad Hoc Questions: Interpret research for constituents outside the Product Team. They handle requests from across the organization, reviewing what we already know and providing insights into its meaning. To be able to answer them you might need to use different analytics tools (both, digital and BI tools) and/or query data using SQL.
- Amplitude Experiments: Perform pricing experiments, A/B testing, etc. Review experiment setups, address design questions and needed data points, and perform post-completion analysis. It means reviewing experiment settings, targeting, goals, and sometimes analytical requirements regarding data points that need to be captured to be able to measure the experiment. To excel, you must know the Amplitude Experiment tool, be knowledgeable about A/B testing, and know what we track in Amplitude.
- Amplitude Data Review & Enhancement: Recognize the need for additional data points to enable analytics and experiments and possible data quality issues. These data points may include groups or properties.
- Support Physical Data Modeling: Assist ****with ****and overview engineering choices related to physical model changes and enhancements to ensure its feasible for analytics in the short and long term.
- Proactive Investigations: When
- KPIs: Assist in choosing the right success metrics for a product and enable constituents to track the progress of the metric.
Requirements:
- Previous SaaS and Product Led Growth startup experience (preferably series A-C)
- 1-2+ years of experience working in a data role in a SaaS company
- Experience analyzing and modeling large, complex data sets and providing business insights on customer behavior and actions (cause and effect)
- Previous experience in data science, data analysis, experimentation, and knowledge of business statistics
- Tooling experience (specifically Amplitude, Redshift, SQL, PostSQL, Sigma, Preset)
- Preferably a degree in Sociology, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics
