Job Summary:

We are looking for a Finance Analyst/Associate to strengthen our finance team. This individual will report to the Director of Finance and is responsible for supporting all operational tasks related to finance + accounting. The ideal candidate will bring a robust analytical skill set, with advanced Excel capabilities, to support detailed financial analysis and accounting precision within our dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the monthly financial close process under GAAP, assisting in timely and accurate financial reporting

• Work alongside external accounting firms and internal stakeholders to streamline revenue and expense account management

• Facilitate expense accruals and revenue recognition efforts as part of the closing process, under guidance from the Head of Finance

• Contribute to financial performance analysis, identifying trends and suggesting efficiency improvements

• Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, under the direction of the Head of Finance

• Help ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, focusing on financial integrity and transparency

• Support process improvements initiatives to enhance accounting practices and procedures.

• Aid in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, adhering to regulatory and professional standards

• Assist with general ledger account management and bank statement reconciliations.

• Provide analytical support for financial planning and strategic projects led by the Director of Finance

• Collaborate with departments to promote financial and accounting best practices throughout the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• 2-3 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates coming from Big 4 accounting firms or established finance and accounting departments in other organizations

• Proficiency in financial modeling and extensive experience with Excel is required

• Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting processes

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in an e-commerce business model is highly desirable

• CPA certification is a plus

• Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite, QuickBooks
