We are seeking a talented and innovative Freelance Creative Designer to join our team on a project basis. As a freelance creative designer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that require creative flair, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of design principles.

Led by a team of former admissions committee officers from some of the most prestigious universities, Inspira’s mission is to democratize access to higher education across millions of deserving students in the world, so that their education and life outcomes do not get determined by a zipcode or resources of their high schools. Inspira has thus built one of the deepest benches of admissions counselors in the world who support candidates with all the aspects of their application process and help them position the best version of themselves.

We have seen tremendous growth and we recently raised our Series A financing from leading Silicon Valley investors including Craft Ventures, David Sacks (Founding Member of PayPal), Jeff Fluhr (Co-Founder and CEO of Stubhub), Kygo, and other prominent angel investors.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our internal teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conceptualize and create visually stunning and on-brand design solutions for various digital and print materials, including websites, social media content, brochures, logos, and more.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our designs remain fresh and innovative.
• Create and present design concepts, mockups, and prototypes to clients and team members for feedback and approval.
• Ensure that all design deliverables meet high-quality standards and are delivered within project timelines.
• Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and harmonious design and content integration.
• Provide design revisions and updates based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Keep up-to-date with industry tools and software, and recommend updates or new tools as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a freelance creative designer or similar role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of web design principles and familiarity with web development languages (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
• Video editing or motion graphics skills are a bonus.
