Overview
The Product Marketing Manager will support the success of a mature, category‑leading software product while driving the go‑to‑market (GTM) and customer adoption strategy for its next‑generation evolution. Partner closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to ensure Mitchell 1 maintains its market leadership—even as competitors push more aggressively into our space.
Position a trusted, established product while creating momentum and excitement around its modernized, nextgen capabilities.
Responsibilities
Product Positioning & Messaging
- Develop compelling, differentiated messaging that clearly articulates the value of both current products and the next‑generation platform.
- Tailor narratives to automotive repair shop personas—from owners to service advisors to technicians.
- Translate technical capabilities into easy‑to‑understand value for shop operations, workflow efficiency, and profitability.
Go‑to‑Market (GTM) Strategy
- Lead end‑to‑end GTM planning for new releases, platform enhancements, and the modernization roadmap.
- Build launch bundles, migration frameworks, and competitive positioning that reinforce Mitchell 1’s market leadership.
- Identify key segments and customer cohorts for targeted adoption strategies.
- Manage business partners whose products add value to our product, ensuring alignment, coordination, and mutual success.
Sales Enablement
- Create sales tools that support the field teams and inside sales, including pitch decks, battlecards, call scripts, feature comparison grids, and objection handling guides.
- Train Sales and Customer Success teams on product positioning, messaging, competitive advantages, and the migration story.
- Partner with the Sales team to strengthen win rates in competitive scenarios.
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Years of Experience:
- 5–8+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or workflow/operations software.
Other Requirements:
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Deep cross-functional collaboration experience, especially with Product, Sales, Marketing, and customer-facing teams.
- Experience representing product line on social media and at industry events.
- Familiarity with the automotive aftermarket or service shop operations is a bonus but not required.
- Requires minimum direct supervision.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
