Join the Brain Interfaces team and be part of a team of remarkable and driven engineers accelerating our pathway to human ready brain-computer interfaces. We are looking for versatile engineers who are interested in architecting and implementing elegant software solutions and who thrive with the autonomy to propose creative approaches to problems. You will be responsible for writing software to interact with Neuralink’s implant, as well as building systems for manufacturing and testing the device. You will have the opportunity to work directly with an exceptional team of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers on a small team that moves quickly.

Job Responsibilities and Description:

  • Write brain-computer interface software that communicates in real-time with the brain.
  • Develop ultra-high bandwidth brain-computer interfaces to connect humans and computers.
  • Interact with our novel neural interface as well as other systems to decode brain activity and interact with the environment.
  • Work with neuroscientists, physicians, computer scientists, and electrical engineers to design, test, and deploy high-performance frontend, backend, mobile, and application software systems.

Key qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Python, Java, Javascript, Swift, Objective-C, and C/C++;
  • Experience with developing software applications for iOS and Android;
  • Experience frontend technologies: Javascript or Typescript;
  • Experience with Node.JS;
  • Experience with databases such as SQL and Redis
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Transparency:

Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:

California base salary range:
$183,500$204,000 USD
For full-time employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity. Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level you enter the organization (with the ability to gain more through time as you contribute).
Full-Time Employees are eligible for equity and benefits listed below in addition.
