Job Overview:
We are on the lookout for a talented and seasoned engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our robotic aerial security system. The candidate will work on exciting projects aimed at ensuring seamless integration and communication between unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in complex airspace environments. A strong background in robotics and multi-agent system control is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test software components for multi-UAS coordination and control systems.
- Utilize ROS/ROS2 communication frameworks for reliable vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-ground communication.
- Apply your knowledge of air traffic control systems towards the development of innovative UAS traffic management solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate various network messaging protocols like MQTT, DDS, or AMQP to optimize system performance and interoperability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance our UAS technology, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, preferably in the UAS or aviation domain.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python and JS.
- Proficiency in ROS or ROS2 communication frameworks.
- Familiarity with network messaging protocols such as MQTT, DDS, or AMQP.
- Experience in air traffic control systems is highly advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
