This Role
We’re looking for a Senior+ Frontend Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at the forefront of AI-powered enterprise compliance software. This role is instrumental in shaping the frontend architecture and elevating the overall user experience. You’ll champion frontend best practices, set the standard for performance, scalability, and maintainability. As a senior technical voice on the team, you’ll play a key role in guiding how our frontend evolves and ensure it remains a delight to build and use.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement forward-thinking UI that brings AI-powered workflows to life—shipping intuitive and responsive interfaces grounded in real user needs.
  • Implement our frontend design system, building scalable, reusable components that ensure visual and interaction consistency across the product.
  • Define and operationalize frontend best practices, including state management and performance—enforced through code reviews, tests, linting, documentation, and mentorship.
  • Maintain and evolve our frontend architecture to support rapid growth and flexibility.
  • Advocate for frontend performance, scalability, responsiveness, and reliability across the engineering team via code review, documentation, and share-outs.

Skills & Experience - Core

  • 4+ years of experience in frontend development
  • Deep experience in React, TypeScript, CSS, and Next in production settings
  • Experience with design systems, component libraries, and scalable UI patterns
  • Experience collaborating closely with designers and engineers
  • Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading, code splitting, and minimizing render cycles
  • Strong knowledge of modern state management approaches (e.g. TanStack Query, Zustand)
  • High ownership mindset with a track record of driving work from concept to completion
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers and engineers across the product lifecycle
  • Familiarity with testing, linting, and documentation tooling (e.g., Storybook, unit/integration testing)

Skills & Experience - Pluses

  • Experience working in early-stage startups or fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Exposure to human-AI interaction design patterns or agent-based workflows
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade UI systems

What Success Looks Like - 30 Days

  • You’ve developed a strong understanding of our product surface area, AI capabilities, and customer workflows
  • You’ve contributed to active product development and shipped meaningful UI improvements
  • You’ve completed a comprehensive audit of existing frontend architecture and state management patterns
  • You’ve built strong relationships with design, engineering, and client engagement teams
  • You’ve defined a clear plan to modernize and migrate the UI library, aligned with product and design goals

What Success Looks Like - 60 Days

  • You’ve launched the first wave of modernized UI components and begun rolling them out across the product
  • You’ve introduced frontend best practices around state management, testing, and documentation to ensure scalable, maintainable code
  • You’re partnering closely with design and engineering to implement new patterns for human-AI interaction
  • You’ve become a trusted voice on frontend architecture, usability, and implementation excellence
If you’re interested in the role but aren’t sure whether you’re a good fit, we’d still like to hear from you.
