Norm Ai is the Compliance AI Platform for legal standards-based reasoning & workflow automation.

We developed the first Domain Specific Language (DSL) for fully representing regulatory requirements in AI code. This DSL, deployed with our enterprise platform, enables Norm clients to transform workflows and apply compliance checks at the source of business activities.

We are setting the norms for compliance processes at the largest institutions in the world. Our client base includes firms with a combined $17 Trillion in AUM, and growing quickly.

Our Software Engineers came from Palantir, Google, Meta, AWS, Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. Our Legal Engineers are from Harvard Law, Stanford Law, Yale Law, Sullivan & Cromwell, Simpson Thacher, Davis Polk, Greenberg Traurig, the SEC, and FINRA.

We have raised $85 million over the past 18 months from top VCs and global institutions, including Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, Coatue, Craft Ventures, New York Life, Citi, TIAA, and Marc Benioff.

About the Role

We’re hiring our first Senior Brand Designer to define and evolve Norm Ai’s visual identity across every touch-point, from webpages and keynote decks to event booths and print collateral. You’ll partner closely with marketing, product, and leadership to turn complex concepts and ideas into compelling stories that help customers connect with our mission and influence action.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own & evolve our brand system: Build a scalable design system, ensure brand consistency across all touch points, and evolve our brand as we scale.

  • Ship world-class experiences: Have a creative focus on visual design applied across various surfaces, from web and presentations to physical experiences, print, and more.

  • Power consistent storytelling: Work across product and go-to-market teams to develop high-impact assets that tell a consistent story.

  • Scale creative output: Implement systems, templates, and processes that accelerate Norm’s creative output. When needed, source and manage freelancers/agencies for large initiatives.

  • Prioritize and organize: Prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ yrs experience owning and evolving brands in-house or in an agency setting, with a very strong portfolio of work that includes web and presentation.

  • Be an expert in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and have experience working with other industry-standard software. Video editing is a plus.

  • Have a passion for storytelling, and distilling complex ideas into compelling and emotive visuals.

  • You have a growth mindset and stay educated on the latest design technologies and techniques, while striving to create a unique, opinionated style, not follow trends.

  • Confident communicator who can tactfully guide stakeholders towards a decision.

Bonus Points

  • You’ve designed for B2B enterprise audiences while maintaining a sharp, modern aesthetic.

  • You have Prior experience sourcing and managing contractors and agencies for large projects.

  • You’ve led a major rebrand or launched a green-field brand from scratch.

  • You’re proficient in motion graphics, animation, or video editing.

Comp and Benefits

$130,000 - $170,000 a year plus equity.

The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed here reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits. We offer a competitive salary along with equity compensation.
