As a Renewals Manager (RM) you are the commercial guardian of our customer base, driving revenue continuity and predictable growth. You play a pivotal role in Productboard’s success, by bridging the gap between customer value and financial commitment.
By owning the negotiation strategy and execution for your book of business, you act as the commercial “closer”. This strategic focus empowers your cross-functional partners to remain trusted advisors while you take full command of securing revenue and defending against churn.
On a typical day, you will …
- Own and execute a diverse book of business primarily focused on SMB renewals, with the added responsibility of managing select Enterprise accounts
- Actively engage with key decision-makers to identify customer requirements and lead negotiation with the customer, overcoming objections to renewal
- Develop and optimize email sequences to engage customers at scale, allowing you to identify risk and uncover opportunities within a high-volume portfolio
- Use data and an understanding to craft narratives that communicate how Productboard is impacting the customer’s business
- Proactively identify at-risk customers and develop prescriptive "plays" to mitigate against potential churn
- Communicate clearly in our systems, and work closely with your Product Success partners to mitigate risk and Account Executives to identify and hand off upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Discover and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities at renewal to maximize customer growth, working collaboratively with your Account Executive partner in the process
- Drive operational efficiencies with new processes and scalable systems to engage hundreds of renewals in an effective manner
- Maintain and report an accurate rolling 90-day forecast of renewals
- Keep up to date records of renewals and create renewal contracts
- Collaborate with Finance, Support, Legal around renewal logistics and bringing a customer to successful renewal
About you:
- 2-3 years of experience in SaaS renewals management (or equivalent commercial experience)
