• Develops products in order to fulfil the mission to be the front page of crypto data and to shape the standards for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

• Solves unique and large scale problems, serving millions of page views within the cryptocurrency industry.

• Builds the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency data accessible to everyone across the globe at scale.

• Always researching, investigating and looking for the next product that will fill the missing gap.

• Product Design: Lead product design through collaboration with other product designers, engineers, and product managers to implement innovative product solutions, visuals, and experience that are usable and valuable.

• Develop and execute UI/UX design solutions that solve user and business problems and take them to market.

• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.

• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

• Strategy: Lead medium to long term high-level strategy decisions for business impacting projects.

• Leadership: Define and lead complex cross-functional projects to create business outcomes.

• Collaboration: Communicate and defend design proposals and key milestones to the stakeholders and engineering team.

• Actively keep customer needs in mind and leverage stakeholders to determine the appropriate solutions to deliver value.

• Research: Lead and develop best practices for the design team’s overall user research, user interviews, and usability tests in order to contribute to the product team knowledge of our users.

• Validate product’s functionality and evaluate the design effectiveness based on data analysis and qualitative feedback.

• Design System: Lead the direction of our design system, ensuring the work that you and the wider team are delivering aligns to the platform and development practices.

• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

• Analytics: Lead and develop best practices for the design team’s overall data-driven approach using experimentation, measurement, and analysis.

• Reporting: Monitor users reactions and measure metrics after launching new features.

• Documentation: Identify gaps in processes that require documentation, and are able to create efficiency. Create and develop playbooks for design guidelines, standards, and templates.

• Plugged-in: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Coaching: Able to empower, coach, and provide material feedback on the work of junior, mid-level, and senior designers. Contribute as an expert, a role model and driver of best practices to the team.

• Team Growth & Engagement: Involved in the hiring process of your department and contributing to hiring best practices. Can interview new candidates and discern their technical/soft skills on whether they are a good fit.

• You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in UI/UX design.

• Online portfolio of UI/UX design work which showcases your process and solutions and not just the finished product.

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, computer science, human computer interaction, or related fields.

• Proven track record over multiple years as a lead designer responsible for value and usability of solutions, developing and executing a long term design roadmap, and have taken ownership of a full product design vertical.

• Product Knowledge: Strong desire and passion to learn about the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry and the problems faced by users.

• Strong existing understanding of the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry trends and domain knowledge is a large plus.

• Design Principles Knowledge: Demonstrated excellent understanding of design principles (typography, composition, hierarchy, proportion, patterning, color theory, etc.) knowledge of UX research methods, usability testing, prototyping, knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design and creative process.

• Proven experience designing for cross-platform experiences (iOS, Android, Web interface).

• You have experience with owning UI kits and design systems.

• Design Tools: Expert and proven proficiency with modern interface design tools (We use Figma at CoinGecko).

• Able to create detailed interactive prototypes demonstrating flows, interactions, and animations.

• User-focused: Analytical and can articulate design decisions very well. Worked with qualitative and quantitative usability measurement methodologies.

• People Skills: Excellent communicator who is able to build working relationships within the team and externally with customers.

• You love talking to users and stakeholders in order to understand their needs and gather requirements.

• You can rally engineers and product managers to be excited about a design roadmap, lead and execute it end to end.

• Leadership: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal to no supervision. Has a strong sense of self-leadership, curious & creative on finding ways to improve existing projects & workflows.

• Coaching: Demonstrated a clear understanding of your role as the primary coach of your designers.

• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.

• You have a passion to solve a problem faced by stakeholders together with strong user empathy.

• Growth mindset: You love delving into new technologies and new ways of doing things.

• Software Development Knowledge: Familiarity and ability to write front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, as well as frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap is a plus.

• You have keen interest in cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, and metaverse topics.
