We are looking for a technical project manager to support the Director of PMO by driving projects including managing new store openings, existing store maintenance, and internal IT initiatives utilising industry best practices in project management. This individual will be proficient in agile/scrum as well as traditional waterfall models. The technical project manager will collaborate with internal business partners, technical resources, and external vendors to ensure projects are defined and all objectives are delivered.
What You'll Do
- Manage new store opening tasks including but not limited to equipment procurement/delivery, install planning/build out, and vendor coordination
- Manage existing store projects
- Manage corporate IT projects
- Create and present project specific budgets and deadlines for leadership approval
- Assist in reviewing proposals and quotes from external parties to ensure projects are within budgetary limits
- Coordinate regular meetings between internal and external parties to maintain project deliverables
- Support internal and external development teams by managing project schedules, budget, and performance to establish metrics
- Anticipate and remove obstacles that prevent the team from delivering on goals.
- Foster communication and decision making to either persevere forward or pivot to ensure projects are delivered and contribute to future enhancements.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience in IT project management
- Excellent time management skill with the ability to multitask and prioritise in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Exceptionally organised with attention to detail
- Capable of leading multiple parties to meet project deadlines while staying within budget
- Strong understanding of development process and release cycle
- Strong reporting and documentation skill
- Strong ability to maintain communication with the team members and users
- Strong facilitation skills (Sprint Planning, retrospectives, requirements sessions, design meetings, progress meetings)
- PMP certification desired
- Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as G Suite, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Project, Atlassian/JIRA, Visio, and other project management tools
