About Sensible

Sensible connects software to the messy, unstructured data that businesses encounter every day. Our goal is to bring about a world where computers do the work that computers are best at (processing large volumes of data) so that humans can do what humans are best at (critical thinking and empathy).
The first piece of this problem that we're tackling is document parsing. Even as software is eating the world, so many business workflows still rely on two entities sending PDFs to each other. In a single afternoon with Sensible, developers can ship a production-ready API endpoint that turns documents into useful data. Today, we have happy customers across insurance, logistics, proptech, and financial services using Sensible to process thousands of different types of documents.
Sensible was founded in 2020 and is backed by top VC firms like Craft, Clocktower Ventures, Engineering Capital.

About the Role

As an account executive, you’ll work closely with the founders and own developing and refining our sales process and overall go-to-market strategy. After doing founder-led sales for the last year, we’ve found repeatable use cases across multiple customers, and are looking to build on top of that foundation. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in the ambiguity of early-stage sales and is excited to experiment and build out a repeatable sales motion.
Sensible is a remote-first company and this role is open to anyone located in the United States. We provide competitive OTE and meaningful equity.

What you’ll do

Have a hand in the entire sales cycle — from prospecting, to creating collateral, to closing.
Experiment with new ideas, processes, and tools that will improve and scale our sales motion.
Develop strong customer relationships and be a trusted advisor to our prospects and customers.
Collaborate with marketing, engineering, product, and customer success teams to share customer insights and help us continuously improve and iterate on the product.

About you

You might be a fit if...
You have 3+ years of experience selling technical software products to technical audiences.
You have a consistent track record of exceeding quotas.
You’re excited about prospecting and experimenting with business development.
You’re product-minded and customer-focused, and believe that being successful in sales requires a deep understanding of customer problems.
You are organized and processed-oriented, able to juggle many prospect conversations at various stages of the sales funnel.
You are an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to build relationships with different kinds of people across different levels of the organization.
You have a high bias to speed and execution. We are a young company with ambitious sales targets, and we are looking for team players that can help us drive revenue quickly.
Nice to have:
A background or experience in software development
Experience doing account-based sales into large organizations
Experience working with security and procurement teams
