The Role
As a Senior Product Manager at Shef, reporting to the Head of Product, you will own the roadmap and feature definition for high impact projects spanning multiple teams and stakeholders. You will work alongside some of the most talented engineers, product designers and cross functional partners. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from vision, ideation, to research, and iterative improvements, working at both a strategic and tactical level to create products that our customers and shefs love.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategy for key areas of Shef’s marketplace, driving measurable improvements in growth, retention, and customer/chef satisfaction.
- Champion customer and shef needs by deeply understanding their pain points, uncovering trends in data, and ensuring insights shape product priorities.
- Align and mobilize stakeholders across engineering, design, ops, marketing, and leadership to deliver cohesive, impactful product experiences.
- Own the roadmap and delivery of high-impact initiatives, from vision and ideation through execution, measurement, and iteration.
- Balance business impact and user experience by understanding marketplace economics and identifying levers to drive sustainable growth.
- Set long-term vision and rally teams around a clear, compelling narrative that advances Shef’s mission.
Qualifications
Product Strategy & Execution
- 4+ years of product management experience at a technology company, ideally with subscription or marketplace experience.
- Proven ability to execute — driving products from concept through launch, iterating quickly based on data and feedback.
- Ability to think strategically and connect the dots between company strategy and product roadmap.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where prioritization and execution matter.
Analytical & Customer Insights
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves with SQL, product analytics, and experimentation, using data not only to measure outcomes but to surface insights that guide the roadmap.
- Pair data with customer empathy - running user interviews, research, and testing to deeply understand both consumers and shefs in our marketplace.
- Turn insights into clear, actionable narratives that shape roadmaps and drive decisive product action.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Exceptional communication skills: able to articulate a vision, influence stakeholders, and keep teams aligned.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and operators to deliver results.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
