SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

SR. MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING (STARLINK E-COMMERCE PLATFORM)

At SpaceX we’re leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to nearly 2M users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that glues the system together, and the customer facing experiences that allow us to sell our service global. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class engineers to help us deliver an e-commerce platform that will allow us to bring Starlink around the world.

As Sr. Software Manager of the Consumer Platform team, you’d be managing a team of 20+ engineers distributed across Redmond, WA, Hawthorne, CA, and Sunnyvale, CA working on building Starlink’s global e-commerce platform. You’ll be responsible for a highly scalable web platform that facilitates payments, fulfillment, customer support, enterprise sales, as well as the customer-facing experience using our service. You will work closely with a mix of both external customers and internal partners across many disciplines to enable global growth and define the strategy of the Starlink business. We’re looking for someone who’s able to write code and drive good architectural decisions to make the greatest internet service provider in the world.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to travel (approximately ~20% of the time) domestically and internationally in the future when needed.
