SpaceX is preparing to launch at an incredible Launch tempo out of multiple launch complexes and process more Payloads than ever. Existing and future SpaceX facilities are dynamic, adapting to changing requirements. The Vendor Serices Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating multiple service contracts for maintenance of SpaceX facilities.


  • Manage, coordinate and act as the liaison for multiple service contracts such as janitorial, DI water systems, pest control, fuel distribution, landscaping, waste management, etc.
  • Partner with Purchasing on the RFP/ bid process for multiple service contracts.
  • Coordinate operational schedules for vendors to not affect or slow down the SpaceX operation.
  • Work with suppliers to increase efficiency in service delivery.
  • Ensure vendors meet SpaceX, Air Force and NASA standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanship in the agreed timeframe.
  • Manage the traffic of operational requests and follow through completing of tasks that require support from vendors SpaceX engages in continued service contract.
  • Interact with tradesman, contractors and building officials to coordinate and execute maintenance repair of facilities support equipment.
  • Direct system repairs of Facilities, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, fire protection, water and plumbing infrastructure, paint, and grounds keeping.
  • Coordinate and facilitate furniture requests to align with site standards.
  • Manage fleet vehicle requests, insurance, tags and maintenace with automotive shop.


  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with the capability organizing work with multiple trades.


  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field.
    Must be organized and self-driven capable of working independently with little direction
  • Demonstrate innovative and futuristic thinking to drive continuous improvement


  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg
  • Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support in emergency situations
  • Must be comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.


Pay range:

Contractor Service Administrator/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
