About The Role
Sedai is looking for a Fullstack Engineer, Java to drive the development and scaling of our autonomous cloud platform. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-quality, performant, and scalable systems, leveraging your expertise in Java, cloud-native development, and distributed systems. You’ll work closely with the founding engineering team to design and implement mission-critical features that enable intelligent, autonomous cloud optimization. This is a high-impact role that requires deep technical expertise, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a passion for automation and scalability.
What You’ll Do
Design and development of high-performance, scalable backend systems using Java. Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code that meets performance and reliability goals. Architect and develop cloud-native services on Kubernetes to support large-scale workloads. Build code to optimize cloud services for cost, performance, and availability using machine learning-driven automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system observability, security, and operational excellence. Support customer implementations and troubleshooting as needed. Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and fostering best practices in software development.
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of experience in backend software development with a strong focus on Java. Proven expertise in building and optimizing large-scale, high-performance distributed systems. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design for scalability and efficiency. Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development. Experience in designing and deploying fault-tolerant, resilient, and highly available microservices. Passion for automation, intelligent systems, and optimizing cloud workloads. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment. Bonus Points Expertise in Kubernetes Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Exposure to JavaScript, ReactJS, and frontend technologies (optional but nice to have).
