As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our engineering efforts behind critical product areas such as booking, scheduling, and payments. This position involves significant contributions to our user-facing web and mobile applications, built with React.js and React Native, while also participating in the development of our backend services built using Kotlin. You'll work within a collaborative team to deliver high-impact solutions that directly contribute to our product's success and user satisfaction.

About The Role
As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our engineering efforts behind critical product areas such as booking, scheduling, and payments. This position involves significant contributions to our user-facing web and mobile applications, built with React.js and React Native, while also participating in the development of our backend services built using Kotlin. You'll work within a collaborative team to deliver high-impact solutions that directly contribute to our product's success and user satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing applications using React Native.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions.
- Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across our frontend and backend systems.
- Help define and uphold engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.
- Proactively identify and address technical debt and areas for improvement within the codebase.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipelines for web and mobile.
- 5+ years of mobile development experience
- Proven expertise with React Native for building robust applications within the last 2 years
- You have experience working in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
- You have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, a bias for action, a passion for self-improvement, and a desire to help elevate and mentor those around you
- You're comfortable picking up new technologies (our team builds on Ruby, React, Kotlin, and React Native, and our stack will continue to evolve.) Nice to Have
- Experience with backend development with Kotlin or Typescript preferred, including API design and implementation.
- Mobile application performance and monitoring experience
