About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with expertise in Python and Django to join our talented engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our cutting-edge financial data automation platform

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end developers, and data scientists, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend APIs and services using Python and Django for enterprise customers.
• Create efficient and scalable database schemas, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data and implement data protection measures.
• Implement data protection measures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Implement and maintain automated testing and continuous integration pipelines to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot backend systems, addressing performance and availability for enterprise-scale operations.
• Collaborate in code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in backend development.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help make technical decisions for the platform's growth and scalability.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer for minimum of 5 years (required).
• Proven experience managing large projects (required).
• Desired proven experience at US-based technology companies (even better if series B or above).
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis, Amazon DynamoDB...).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of taking full ownership of projects from concept to deployment.
