About The Role

We're seeking a contractor to run technical feasibility experiments during a transitional period. This is a short-term, focused engagement to keep our concept validation process moving while we complete full-time hiring. You'll work directly with our product and design team to evaluate the technical viability of new company concepts, building quick proofs-of-concept and advising on implementation approaches.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with product managers and design to understand concept documentation and requirements
  • Design and execute rapid technical feasibility experiments (hours to days, not months)
  • Build lightweight prototypes to validate technical assumptions
  • Evaluate and advise on technology choices, architecture approaches, and feasibility
  • Document findings and recommendations clearly for non-technical stakeholders
  • Move quickly and pragmatically - optimize for learning, not perfection

What You’ll Bring

Required Experience & Skills

  • Prototyping speed: 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a track record of building quickly
  • Technical breadth: Comfortable across the stack. You don't need to be expert in everything, but you should be able to evaluate feasibility across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and third-party integrations
  • AI fluency: Experience with LLMs, AI APIs, and modern AI-powered development tools
  • Startup context: Previous experience in early-stage environments where speed and pragmatism matter
  • Communication: Ability to translate technical findings into clear recommendations for product partners Ideal Candidate Has:
  • Worked as a founding engineer, first technical hire, or in rapid R&D environments
  • Built disposable prototypes to answer "can we build this?" questions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and incomplete requirements
