The Role

We’re hiring a Content Growth / SEO / AEO Manager to own and scale Terminal’s organic acquisition strategy across:

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
  • AI-assisted content systems and scalable pipelines
  • Founder-led video and YouTube SEO growth

This is a high-impact contract role for someone who thrives at the intersection of content strategy, modern search, AI workflows, and performance-driven storytelling.

You will build the content engine that drives inbound from:

  • VP Engineering
  • CTOs
  • Talent and recruiting leaders
  • Prospective candidates in our Canadian, LatAm, and European markets

What You’ll Own

SEO Strategy & Execution (SEO + AEO)

  • Develop and execute a holistic SEO strategy spanning technical, on-page, and off-page initiatives, aligned to Terminal’s core audience of CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and Talent Leaders, as well as prospective candidates in our operating markets.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword research, competitive analysis, and SERP landscape mapping to identify ranking opportunities across high-intent hiring queries, long-tail global talent topics, and emerging AI-search behaviors.
  • Own the strategy for optimizing content not only for traditional search engines, but also for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — ensuring Terminal content performs in generative discovery surfaces such as Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-assisted search experiences.
  • Ensure site architecture, metadata, internal linking, and content structure follow SEO and AEO best practices, including:
  • Title and header hierarchy
  • Schema markup and structured data
  • Content clustering and topical authority development
  • Conversion-oriented landing page design
  • Partner closely with Web and Engineering teams to address technical SEO and AEO needs, including:
  • Crawlability and indexation improvements
  • Core Web Vitals and site speed performance
  • Structured data implementation for rich results and AI answer surfaces
  • Scalable frameworks for programmatic landing page expansion
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance using Google Search Console and SEO tooling like SEMRush, translating insights into clear, data-backed optimizations that drive compounding organic growth.
  • Extend SEO strategy into multimedia discovery by ensuring founder-led video and YouTube content are optimized for search visibility, engagement, and repurposing across Terminal’s broader content engine.

Content Engine + Scalable Pipeline Development

  • Build a repeatable, high-output content engine that drives compounding organic growth over time.
  • Create scalable workflows for content research, briefing, production, refreshes, and distribution — leveraging AI tools where appropriate to increase velocity and quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally to expand Terminal’s library of high-performing landing pages and content hubs across themes like:
  • Hiring developers internationally
  • Scaling distributed engineering teams
  • Global recruiting and compliance
  • Talent density in key regions (LatAm, Europe, Canada)
  • Develop systems for internal linking, topical authority, and content lifecycle management rather than one-off publishing.

Founder-Led Video + YouTube SEO Growth

  • Help develop Terminal’s multimedia content strategy, including founder-driven storytelling as a core growth channel.
  • Build and execute a YouTube SEO roadmap aligned with high-intent hiring and engineering leadership searches.
  • Repurpose video content into:
  • Blog integrations
  • Short-form LinkedIn clips
  • Landing page enhancements
  • Multi-channel distribution loops
  • Ensure video assets contribute to Terminal’s authority across both search engines and AI discovery platforms.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in SEO, content growth, or organic marketing roles (B2B preferred)
  • Proven ability to build content that ranks and converts in competitive categories
  • Strong understanding of modern SEO plus emerging AEO / generative search optimization
  • Experience designing and building scalable content systems — not just one-off blog posts
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with marketing, web, product, and engineering teams
  • Strong AI-tooling fluency for content operations, research, and workflow acceleration
  • Professional level English proficiency

Bonus Points For

  • Experience optimizing for ChatGPT/Perplexity/Gemini discovery ecosystems
  • Programmatic SEO or templated landing page strategy experience
  • YouTube SEO or founder-led video strategy background
  • Familiarity with developer tools, recruiting tech, HR tech, or global hiring markets
