About Stackpoint Ventures
Stackpoint is the first venture studio dedicated to building and investing in real estate technology companies.
Our expert team of operators and in-house capital help founders focus on what matters and get ideas to market faster. We also partner closely with our industry-leading strategic investors to ideate and launch ventures.
Join us in reshaping the built world!
About The Role
We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build an AI-first construction orchestration and risk mitigation platform. You will report directly to the founder and be one of the first 2–3 engineers on the team. You will work across the stack — document ingestion, normalization, LLM workflows, routing logic, review workspace UI, and integration with leading construction project management platforms to ensure:

About The Role
We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build an AI-first construction orchestration and risk mitigation platform. You will report directly to the founder and be one of the first 2–3 engineers on the team. You will work across the stack — document ingestion, normalization, LLM workflows, routing logic, review workspace UI, and integration with leading construction project management platforms to ensure:
- Documents don’t get lost
- Avoidable review cycles are reduced
- Design changes don’t silently invalidate approvals
- Procurement risk is surfaced early, not in the field This is not a "feature factory" role. You will help define architecture, make product tradeoffs, and ship scrappy but production-minded systems under real-world constraints.
- Ship weekly with design partners: demo real output, collect feedback, iterate in days not sprints
- Talk to users directly: sit with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to understand workflow truth before writing code
- Own problems end-to-end: from scoping to shipping to monitoring in production
- Make pragmatic tradeoffs: choose the 80% solution that ships today over the perfect one that ships next month
- Build evaluation before claims: instrument accuracy, regression, and confidence before calling something "done"
- Write things down: async-first updates, decision logs, and visible progress in shared tools
- 3–5+ years as a software engineer in a startup or high-ownership environment
- Strong full-stack fluency (modern JS/TS frontend + Python or Node backend + relational DB)
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (GPT/Claude/etc.) into production systems — not just prototypes
- Experience building structured extraction on unstructured, complex data sets or RAG workflows
- Strong API design fundamentals
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/GCP)
- Comfortable parsing PDFs and messy, inconsistent documents Strong-to-Have (Will Deepen on the Job)
- Understands RAG vs. direct prompting tradeoffs and can explain when *not* to use an LLM
- Knows how to design eval loops (sampling, acceptance thresholds, regression checks)
- Designs failure states deliberately
- Realistic about inference cost, latency, and scale tradeoffs
- Designs canonical schemas for evolving domain data
- Can reason about revision truth + document versioning
- Builds deterministic + probabilistic systems side-by-side
