About Live Nation
Artists power everything we do. From small clubs to stadiums, Live Nation is on a mission to bring more music to more fans in more places around the world.
Since 2005, Live Nation has helped shape modern live music connecting touring, ticketing, partnerships, venues, and fan experiences to better support artists and the communities where they perform.
That mission now spans more than 50 countries, bringing together more than 150 million fans with artists through over 50,000 concerts and festivals each year. As the largest investor in musicians, Live Nation supports artists at every stage of their careers through programs like On The Road Again and Crew Nation, ensuring live music stays strong for generations to come.
About The Role
Ticketmaster runs at a scale where engineering decisions show up quickly — in performance, in reliability, and in what our teams are able to ship next. We are hiring Senior Engineers across our technology organisation to own major components of that work end to end. You will build in Next.js and React on top of serverless services in AWS, with AI-assisted development as a normal part of how you work. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you will make design calls with minimal guidance, lead the quality bar for the code around you, and act as a subject matter resource for the engineers around you.
What You’ll Do
● Own major components. Design, build, and operate significant parts of your team’s platform, from the React front end through the serverless services behind it. ● Build for scale. Engineer for real traffic patterns and load spikes — caching strategy, rendering strategy, graceful degradation, and cost-aware scaling. ● Make design decisions that last. Shape APIs, data schemas, and component boundaries with an eye on reusability, adjacent use cases, and how things get misused in practice. ● Raise the engineering bar. Lead code reviews, champion testing and observability practices, and proactively find and retire technical debt rather than routing around it. ● Ship and operate. Take work all the way to production — CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting, and on-call participation for what your team owns. ● Use AI well. Apply AI coding tools to move faster on implementation, refactors, tests, and documentation — while validating output carefully and staying accountable for what merges. ● Work across boundaries. Partner with product, design, and neighbouring engineering teams, adapting how you communicate depending on who is in the room.
What You’ll Bring
Core Experience ● 5+ years building and operating production web applications, with a track record of independently owning meaningful scope. ● Deep React and TypeScript skills — component architecture, state management, performance profiling, and accessibility as a default rather than an afterthought. ● Production Next.js experience: App Router, server components, SSR / SSG / ISR trade-offs, caching, and edge rendering. ● Strong AWS Serverless background — hands-on with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, EventBridge, Step Functions, and SQS/SNS. ● Hands-on GraphQL experience — schema design, resolvers, and backend-for-frontend patterns, including performance concerns such as N+1 queries and caching. ● Infrastructure as code in practice (AWS CDK, SAM, Serverless Framework, or Terraform) and comfort owning your own CI/CD pipelines. ● Practical use of AI for code generation — tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor — with clear judgment about where they help, where they do not, and how to review what they produce. ● Solid fundamentals in testing, observability, secure coding, and debugging distributed systems. How You Work ● Comfortable with ambiguity — you can take a loosely defined problem in a multi-team space and drive it to a decision. ● You communicate progress and risk early, and you handle setbacks by focusing on the next move. ● You think past the immediate ticket to the longer-term effect of the choice you are making. Nice to Have ● High-traffic consumer, e-commerce, or platform experience, especially with demand spikes or constrained resources. ● Web performance and Core Web Vitals optimisation at scale. ● Edge compute (Lambda@Edge, CloudFront Functions) or design system contribution. ● Experience building AI-powered product features, not just AI-assisted development.
