About The Role

At BuildVision, we aim to revolutionize the construction industry by making procurement seamless. We aim to build a future where every piece of equipment and material on a construction site can be effortlessly sourced, bid, financed, tracked, and delivered through a single platform. As our first design hire, the UX/UI Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping our product's user experience and interface, ensuring that it not only meets the needs of our users but also exceeds their expectations. Working closely with the product and engineering teams, this role will be vital in solving complex problems and turning them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for our procurement network. Additionally, the designer will contribute to building our pitch deck for the seed round, visually communicating our vision and value proposition to potential investors. Your creativity and design skills will directly contribute to our growth and success in transforming the construction procurement process.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
• Design and deliver user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, adhering to best practices in UX design.
• Participate in user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance and refine the user experience.
• Assist in building and refining the pitch deck for investor presentations, aligning design elements with our brand's mission and vision.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency across all user touchpoints.
• Expected to create a design system within the first 60 days to ensure consistency and efficiency in our design processes.
• Work on continuous design improvement based on user feedback and analytics within the first 90 days.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Proven UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio in web and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in visual design and wireframing tools such as Figma.
• Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, and user and process flows.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and able to operate independently and as part of a team.
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience designing for the construction or procurement industry is a plus but not required.
