About The Role

We're looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain our cloud infrastructure, streamline our automation processes, and ensure the security and compliance of our systems. We support an evolving application stack written with Python, React, and PostgreSQL

What You’ll Do

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Networking Expertise: Manage our networking infrastructure, including DNS, VPC, and VPN configurations, to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools to automate and streamline our development and deployment processes.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2 Type II.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to provide a seamless developer experience, enabling them to build, deploy, and scale applications efficiently.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and scaling application workloads, particularly in AWS.
• Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPC configuration.
• Expertise in automation, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools like CloudWatch and Sentry.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2 Type II.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, focusing on developer experience and enablement.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Go, focusing on automation tasks and instrumentation. Nice to Have:
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of other containerized environments and configuration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
