As a trusted medical companion, Honey improves chronic care by navigating providers and patients to better outcomes, combining AI with the strength of human connection. Honey's AI navigates patients through provider-led content and conversations, and AI data insights from connected CGMs and glucose meters. This integration results in strong engagement rates, improved patient interactions, reduced administrative overload, and increased insurance reimbursements for providers.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend services and APIs using Python. * Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS infrastructure, including services such as Cognito, DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, Lambda, API Gateway, etc. * Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and frontend engineers to define, architect, and implement features, ensuring seamless integration with our Amazon AWS-based infrastructure. * Document technical designs, processes, and code to ensure clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team. * Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while following best practices, design patterns, and industry standards. * Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance to ensure an exceptional user experience. * Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code. * Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our backend services remain relevant and competitive.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in backend/API development. * Proficient in Python as the primary coding language. * High familiarity with AWS services, including Cognito, DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, Lambda, API Gateway, etc. * Strong experience with RESTful APIs development. * Familiarity with using Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions for CI/CD. * Excellent technical writing skills. * Proficient in writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. * Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. * Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage in efficient communication with team members and stakeholders. * A self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Nice-to-Have: * Some proficiency in Python for big data applications, including data analytics and AI, using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, etc. * Basic familiarity with TypeScript and its application in Node.js environments, including writing and maintaining TypeScript code and creating APIs. * Hands-on experience with large language models like GPT-4 turbo, understanding of generative AI techniques, and ability to integrate them into existing systems. * Experience with A/B testing and analytics tools, such as Amplitude, for tracking user behavior and improving app performance.
