The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned shift drivers for safety, security, and adherence to established schedules and routes.
- Monitoring Truck Locations in Real Time. Continuously track the location of all trucks using installed tracking technologies to ensure optimal routing and timely deliveries.
- Adjust Fleet Dispatch and manage Shift Change Logistics. Make necessary adjustments to fleet schedules based on request for ad hoc support and status of routine work. Coordinate and manage the logistics of shift driver changes to ensure seamless transition between shifts.
- Provide immediate assistance and problem-solving support to drivers facing issues while on the road, ensuring minimal disruptions.
- Quickly assess and integrate urgent requests into the daily dispatch schedule, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
- Monitor Fleet Performance: Identify, create, monitor and report the key indicators of fleet performance. Identify areas for improvement and, under the direction of Shift Supervisors, implement changes.
Basic Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience with fleet dispatch, warehouse / distribution center operations, or manufacturing production control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work proactively and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Flexibility to take on different responsibilities based on company needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Requirements
- Possess a current CDL.
- Work well under high-pressure emergency situations.
- Displays initiative in resolving problems and can work independently of next level management (Shift Supervisor).
- Proficient in using Office Suite or Google Workspace including, typing letters, creating/updating spreadsheets, and presentations.
