The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and maintain momentum on high-priority projects, including but not limited to, resource planning, onboarding new department members, space planning, and strategy development for efficiencies among teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, make appointments, arrange travel, screen and delegate incoming calls, and provide other general assistance as required.
  • Organize and set up company events such as holiday parties, company picnics and milestone celebrations.
  • Perform potentially confidential and complex administrative duties involving Excel, Word and PowerPoint including, typing letters, creating/updating spreadsheets, and compiling presentations.
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail, ability to adapt to daily schedules and routines, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality.
  • Manage the scheduling, coordination, and administration of corporate housing.
  • Coordinate and schedule contractors and vendors for regular services.
  • Provide general support for various departments including but not limited to: Executive Leadership, Business Development, Construction Management, Engineering, Production and Human Resources.
  • Manage company swag, snack, meals, and employee engagement programs for Las Vegas.
  • Assist with HR onboarding and coordination, intern program coordination, and hosting of interviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of expirence as an executive assistant or similar in an office setting.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools
  • Experience supporting a high-level executive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Hospitality or event planning experience.
  • Several years of professional experience and strong computer literacy
  • Ability to participate in developing project scope, managing project schedules, and following up with stakeholders appropriately.
  • Superior organizational skills including excellent written and verbal communication
  • Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker, with enthusiasm and an energetic approach to work
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously

Additional Requirements

  • Position may require extended hours and weekend work.
  • Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed. Up to 50% local travel.
