The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
As a Security Supervisor you will manage other Security team members, monitor The Boring Company sites and systems to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers, fellow employees, and company assets. The ideal person for this role is a great communicator and performs well under pressure. This position may require night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to accurately review incident reports, CCTV footage, and statements prior to submitting to management.
  • Responsible for coordinating and scheduling Security staff members on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Responsible for the development and training of Security staff members.
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of passengers and fellow employees, and company assets.
  • Monitor construction sites, vehicles, drivers, company properties and loading stations for safety and security.
  • Coordinate emergency response actions in the event of an emergency.
  • Must be able to quantify Security Department statistics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain lost and found inventory.

Basic Qualification:s

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid United States Driver's License, access to reliable transportation
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to pass the Department of Transportation mandated Drug Screening Test
  • 5+ years of Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.
  • 2+ years of Supervisory level employment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Security Management, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
  • 4+ years of Supervisory level employment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a position with direct guest contact.
  • Experience with surveillance systems, alarm monitoring, and Security technology Installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with dispatch procedures and first responder coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker.
  • Capable of executing decisions with minimal guidance.
  • Knowledgeable on Google Suite applications
  • Familiar with CPTED fundamentals.
  • First Aid, CPR & AED Certifications.
  • OSHA 30 & associated safety certifications.

Additional Requirements:

  • Position will require candidate(s) to remain flexible to day, swing, and graveyard hours as well as weekend work dependent on operational tempo and project timelines.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Company owned projects within the Continental United States.
  • Must be able to Successfully pass Defensive Tactics instructor Course
  • Must be able to Successfully pass CPR/AED Instructor Course
  • Must be able to Successfully pass Quantitative Gas Mask Fit Test
  • Must be willing and able to successfully pass Tunnel Rescue Team Requirements
  • Perform other assigned tasks as directed by Management.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs or ramps.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
