The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
The Facilities Technician supports the operation, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing and office facilities. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, helping ensure critical infrastructure, equipment, and building systems operate safely and reliably in support of production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility issues to minimize downtime and maintain safe working conditions
  • Support facility upgrades, installations, and layout changes for manufacturing and office spaces
  • Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related technical role
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and building systems using hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to read basic schematics, manuals, and work orders
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
