The Boring Company is seeking a Production Associate to support site operations in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a hands-on, well-rounded role for someone who can help across multiple areas of an active construction and tunneling environment, including general labor, equipment operations, facilities support, material movement, site organization, and day-to-day operational execution.
The ideal candidate is a reliable, hands-on operator who wants to grow with a fast-moving site. They are willing to jump in wherever needed, whether that means helping with labor, moving materials, supporting equipment operations, assisting facilities, organizing work areas, or solving problems that come up during the day.
This person should be comfortable with ambiguity, eager to learn, and motivated by the opportunity to take ownership as the Nashville operation scales. They should bring a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to help keep site operations moving.
Responsibilities
- Support daily site operations across labor, equipment operations, facilities, and general production needs.
- Perform hands-on work to help keep the site safe, organized, clean, and operationally ready.
- Assist with material movement, staging, loading, unloading, organizing, and site logistics.
- Operate or assist with equipment and tools as needed, based on experience, training, and site requirements.
- Support facilities-related tasks, including site setup, repairs, maintenance coordination, workspace organization, and general upkeep.
- Help construction, tunneling, operations, maintenance, and facilities teams execute daily priorities.
- Identify site issues, bottlenecks, safety concerns, or operational needs and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with setup, teardown, cleanup, and preparation of work areas, equipment areas, storage areas, and job site facilities.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements while working around active construction, heavy equipment, and field operations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by helping create more efficient workflows, cleaner work areas, and better site organization.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the site grows and operational needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, general labor, equipment operation, facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, field operations, logistics, or another hands-on work environment.
- Comfortable working on an active construction site and around heavy equipment, tools, materials, and field teams.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to lift, move, carry, stage, and organize materials safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow direction, work independently, and communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates.
- Comfortable with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
