Director, Website Strategy
Vanta is seeking a Director of Website Strategy, a key role focused on enhancing our online presence and aligning it with our business trajectory through the development and implementation of a comprehensive web strategy. This pivotal position requires a blend of strategic insight, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive web initiatives that significantly contribute to Vanta's growth.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in web operations, content strategy, and digital transformation within dynamic sectors like SaaS, B2B, or e-commerce. Beyond leading cross-functional teams, this role involves a deep understanding of the latest web technologies, UX/UI design principles, and SEO strategies, coupled with the responsibility to mentor a team of professionals. The goal is to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, ensuring that our web strategies are not only operationally sound but also cutting-edge and reflective of our brand values.
What you’ll do as a Director of Website Strategy at Vanta:
Develop a comprehensive web strategy that complements Vanta's business objectives. Implement innovative solutions to enhance user engagement, and improve overall digital presence.
Oversee the day-to-day management of Vanta’s website, including content planning, development, publication, and overall website health.
Actively collaborate with various departments, including design, content, comms, IT, sales, and product, to ensure a unified approach to Vanta’s digital strategies. Facilitate communication and integration among teams to leverage synergies and optimize results.
Drive initiatives to improve website functionality, performance, and user experience. Regularly conduct user experience research and usability studies to inform website design and content strategies.
Manage an SEO team that drives strategies to optimize Vanta's web content for better organic search ranking and visibility.
Ensure all digital content and initiatives align with Vanta's brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Oversee the web strategy budget, including resource allocation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
How to be successful in this role:
Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role focusing on technical web operations, content strategy, or similar fields, ideally in industries such as SaaS, B2B or e-commerce.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale web projects with a hands-on approach to coaching and team development.
In-depth knowledge of website content management systems, UX/UI design principles, SEO, digital design, and information architecture. Hands-on experience with current web technologies and digital content publishing.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven record in effective stakeholder management and team collaboration.
Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making, using web analytics tools and performance metrics to guide strategies.
A passion for embracing and leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI, to enhance web strategy and digital initiatives.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is $196,000 - $230,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
