As an IT Operations Engineer you’ll be responsible for supporting our fleet of Vantan’s with their day-to-day technology needs, as well as work to set up processes and workflows to enhance the overall employee experience at Vanta. Reporting to the Enterprise Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining quality services and driving change for the business across our international offices.

The Enterprise Engineering (EE) team is an employee-facing team with a mission to provide Vantan’s with a secure and stellar experience with the tools and technologies they need to do their best work, regardless of where they are.
This role will be the first point of contact for our international Vantan’s and ensure that every Vantan gets the support they need regardless of their timezone.
What you’ll do as a IT Operations Engineer at Vanta:
Support the day to day IT needs of our Vantan’s such as helpdesk requests, onboarding, access management and asset management
Help establish appropriate policies and best practices for IT operations
Help create processes and workflows that are scalable, repeatable, and most importantly – secure
Manage installations, upgrades, and configurations of our company owned devices
Work with cross functional stakeholders to identify areas of opportunities within the IT space
Develop and nurture strong customer relationships with key business stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity for improvements
Create and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for internal processes, tools, and workflows
How to be successful in this role:
Communicate clearly and confidently, translating technical issues into approachable language
Provide timely, thoughtful support with a strong focus on the end-user experience
Bring hands-on experience with SaaS tools like Google Workspace, and know how to scale them effectively
Understand identity and access management best practices, ideally with experience using Okta
Comfortable supporting macOS environments and managing a distributed device fleet (bonus points for Jamf experience)
Collaborate effectively across teams, building strong relationships with partners in People, Security, Workplace, and other key teams
Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities
Take initiative and operate effectively with minimal oversight
Ability to work in our Sydney office in a hybrid setting (3 days a week)
